Re: The Your Brain Rebalanced RadioShow - THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN. EP. 7.

HEYO! After a little bit of a hiatus, the boys are back in town and making some episodes again. Episode 7 is live and rolling. We talk about a slew of new pornography studies that recently came out and their relevance. We also just chat about porn addiction in general, humorous stories, and other random stuff during the second half of the episode. Lesssssssss gooooooo

Hi Fugu (and the chaps), good to hear the show's still going. It was a bit more scattershot this week, but I still enjoyed hearing you all chat through your thoughts and experiences. Just wanted to add that I was one of the nineteen-odd participants in the Cambridge study, and apart from the fMRI scan tests with porn imagery (which was mostly cheesy 90's material by the way) they also subjected us to a number of other tests. These included concentration and memory tests, tests that involved an element of measuring risk-taking thresholds (gambling scenarios) and even a standard UK spelling/elocution test, presumably to measure general intelligence levels. It was quite a long day as there was a lot to get through.

After all of that, you then had an interview with head researcher Dr. Valerie Voon. Although I was rather knackered by this point, everybody was very accommodating and professional, and they even took care of the transport costs and paid people for taking part. You also got a printout of your brain scan, which was pretty cool :D One of the researchers even went as far as to say that this group of subjects were the most informed they had encountered in terms of neurological knowledge. I think this is a testament to the expertise and input of Gary and Marnia on YBOP, and I attributed my own knowledge to their efforts. We owe them a lot.

Anyway, glad the show is still going. I've been edging again, and hearing your thoughts gave me a much-needed reminder of what's required to leave PMO behind for good.

Whoa, that's awesome man! I had no idea you were part of the study. Good on you for going out and being a participant in some really ground breaking research. That's important stuff. DAMN, it would have been awesome to interview you for it!

And yeah the show was a little bit more scattershot this week ;D We didn't have a topic until about 10 minutes before haha. We will definitely get a more focused and thought out topic for the upcoming episodes.

Wow, that was quick! Thanks fugu. Also, you'll be happy to know I've listened to every episode twice.

Personally, the ones featuring Spangler (this one just flowed seamlessly) and JediMindTricks (lots of brainstorming, great discussion) are my favorites.

I have a question for the next show!!

Do you guys think that porn will ALWAYS be easy to access as long as we have the internet? This includes the future, as in, everyone knows that porn can be a serious problem and addiction and also how easily children can be sucked into it.

We'll definitely answer this! If everything goes according to plan, we'll be doing the new show tomorrow so you won't have to wait too long for an answer 8)

Re: The Your Brain Rebalanced RadioShow - THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN. EP. 7

I would actually like to hear more detail about the whole rewiring process. It's the piece of the puzzle that's eluded me thus far.

    Ideas for questions:

    - How do you know when you're healed enough to hit on real girls (and be able to have sex with them)?

    - Should you tell them about the reboot and if so, when is the best time to do this? What if they react badly?

    - Did you find it difficult to think of things to talk about and regular activities to do with each other after being isolated and self-centred for so long? How do you appear interesting if you've got no real passions and no stories to tell because you've been depressed and PMOing all these years?

    - Did the pressure of sustaining a relationship make it easier or harder to recover?

I could go on, but I'll leave it at that for now. You've probably already chosen a topic, but something to put on the back-burner for a later show perhaps?

    Cheers, RP.

Those are some really good questions, RedPill.

I've got a few questions for the crew :-

    1. Let's say you've gone from a one-PMO-a-day person (which is clearly a case of addiction) to someone who watches the filth maybe once in 2 weeks. Could labeling yourself an addict in that case prove counter-productive? It's a catch-22 situation, IMO. You're making good progress; yet, on a macro-level, you're still compulsively doing something you wouldn't like to.

    2. What works best for you in preventing a slip-up from turning into a proper relapse? Is it a specific activity like mediation? Or is it just general stuff like going outside for a walk or something?

Hey there. Glad you're doing this radioshow!

    1. Do supplemental herbs or vitamins speed up the reboot process or reduce withdrawal symptoms?

    2. Is it better or worse for the reboot process to try to limit wet dreams?

    3. Would the reboot process be the same for someone who is lazy and unproductive, compared to someone actively seeking out productive activities?

    Thanks!

    1. What are the physical benefits you noticed during NO PMO if any? Skin, Hair, Muscle, Eyes and so on.
    2. Are the benefits mainly from stopping porn addiction or semen retention? Tough question.
    3. Do you believe in semen retention benefits?
    4. Females being more attracted to you when quitting NO PMO? Fact or fiction. Your thoughts
    5. How really big is this epidemic? Do you suspect other porn addicts in your daily life such as friends, family members and work colleagues.
    6. Will this message ever be mainstream? Or is the porn lobby now just too strong?
    7. How do you deal with regret of wasted years?
    8. How will you deal raising children especially boys in the future due to your knowledge of PMO negative effects?
