    Dear Mescalito...
Good work !!!. You used delay/escape which is one of the techniques in DEADS ( DELAY, ESCAPE, ACCEPT,DISPUTE AND SUBSTITUTE).
I'd recommend that after using this good technique you may want to go up higher to more elegant level methods where you work on your philosophy on the whole. For a more refined and longer lasting solution I'd suggest you pinpoint and keep a journal of what self-talks you use when you are in the 'urge' period.
If you want to - you can look into the TUC cycle- where thoughts lead to urge and urge lead to cravings.
A Method that stops you at the T level is good for you in the long run and will leave you with the level of willpower that the it found you in the first place.
    Wishing you well ...cheers.

You never need to apologise. Your one of the most encouraging guy on the thread and I know your intentions are always meant well. I'm sorry If I came across rude, it wasn't my intention.

Dear Nature.. not at all !!! As I said in my private message to you... we are on the same page.
It is absolutely important to have that ' elated ' mood that Allen Carr insists that one has right at the beginning itself.
What good is it for our readers to feel MaG - miserable and guilty ? Only to fall back to the prison of PMO ?
No.. NO.. if readers could distinguish between slip-lapse-relapse. Take care of the TUC - at the thought level.
I am here for the same reasons as you are. We are good.
Cheers and good weekend... you are a good man.

This is optional but I recommend challengers to place their challenge in their signature. Having your challenge written down will remind you of it. :) like mine :D
  13. Mik2

    Mik2 Aka NwaltRed

Failed this one but making progress.
Pmo'd 2 times thursday, nothing at all yesterday, no extreme genres.

Don't want to make excuses but my sleep schedule is all messed, sleep dep and excessive caffeine likely played a role on thursday. Trying to readjust my sleep with naps rather than caffeine.

    Thanks for your update Mik2
As long as your making progress then you have not failed :) also no extreme genres is really good!
Would you like me to add your same Challenge for week 6?

EDIT: you only missed your challenge by 1 PMO, and still have one MO left. If you have an urge tommorow, make sure you only allow MO and not PMO :)

were only hear to give encouragement and support, not to judge.
You've seen a pattern to your behaviour and made plans to not fall into them again. That is progress! well done

i/ did you pass your challenge

Yes ;) It's 1 month and 3 days without PMO for me atm.

ii/ did you find doing the challenge help you in anyway and why

Well, it's another step towards regaining erectile function and healthy libido. I would do it without any challenges to be honest because I am motivated as f**k to be able to have healthy intimacy with women but challenge was still a nice help.

iii/ Would you like to enter week 6 Weekly Challenge? If so please post your week 6 Challenge

Yes, goal remains the same - no PMO at all :)

Your still fighting so you can still succeed and 17 days was amazing streak hope2overcome, which you should be proud of. Quitting isn't a straight line but little bumps.

Well, if everything goes well, I'll state the following:

1 PMO in the entire week. With that lone exception, zero looking to any P or H site. That means 6 days whose time is going to be devoid of pleasure seeking and spent somewhere else.
1 cup of coffee per day, compared to my three caffeine servings as of now.
If consuming beer, limiting it to a single pint or 500 mL version per day. No second servings.

Since saying "not X" pretty much means arguing for X, I need to set some positive goals going:
    • Getting the beer brewing numbers and math right (I'm on that project).
    • Planting a group of seeds in a pot and start watering and caring for them in order to grow.
    • Studying the ins and outs of solar cells so at least I can get the proper size and potential uses in the future.
