Was it a one-way trip to hell?

chrism It's time to make a change.

    Hey man,

Nah didn’t use anything, but I did start eating more.

It was around a bad time in my life so I figured it couldn’t get any worse than that feeling at the time, and since then things have been easier.

I think it’s just about making that choice to stop. I was looking at it in terms of health benefits and yes I figured smoking should be the first thing to go as it was hindering my fitness.

Nice to hear that, chrism. That sounds rational.

When it comes to me, no good news recently:
    Last PMO - Aug 7th
Last cig - Aug 9th (still smoking)

So while there are great news on the cigarettes front, I watched some porn today. Didn't orgasm but I'm going with "all-or-nothing" approach, which means that all artificial stimuli resets the counter. Feeling great without smoking cigarettes, though ;)

    Last PMO - Aug 22nd :(
    Last cig - Aug 11th :)

Two mixed results so far, however I'd much rather have it like this than other way around because I find nicotine much more addictive than porn. Despite relapsing yesterday I feel much healthier, much better and much happier. Porn is enemy as well, of course but for now I'd much rather celebrate success with quitting cigarettes than dwell on relapse to porn.

    Time for another counter:
    Last soda - Aug 23rd

What do I mean by soda? Mostly Coca-Cola, Pepsi but also other sweetened and carbonated drinks. The only exceptions that I won't count as relapse (so it's not as black/white as PMO and cigarettes) are:
    a) when drinking vodka,
    b) when there's legitimately no other drink available (which in reality never or almost never happens in my life).

One month (and that was 31-day one) and almost 3 months without a single puff of cigarette :) There's still a long way ahead of me but it feels amazing to be on the right track!

I, too, stopped smoking around the time when you stopped smoking. And it was so much easier to stop smoking than it is to stop PMO. I had urges for only a few days. It was a walk in the park compared to stopping PMO. Damn. Anyways, keep going my man :)

I've been smoking for about 7 years before quitting it last month. Second day was the only one I would consider to be a tough one, but every day afterwards was super easy. Surprisingly, almost immediately it started to feel as if I've never even smoked before. And that's after 7 years.

Too early to speak for PMO, as I'm only on my sixth day, but hasn't been too tough so far, too. But it's not the first time I reached one week mark, I did it before, but never in the last 13 year I've spent more than a week without porn or masturbation or orgasm, so it's going to be pretty darn hard from there haha
