    Strong work Kropo, good luck!

Just remember how much it sucks when you have to start your counter over. Not worth it.

Exactly - I know several folk here find the obsession with counters irrelevant but I've found that the pride I feel in my success as the counter goes up something that helps motivate me through the tough bits.

    Thanks Billy B.

Another homeworking day, and another I've managed to stay porn free. I'm feeling better - partly because I do not feel hypocrytical anymore and partly weight loss and fitness effects that started before I gave up porn this time around. I still cycle to and from work four days a week (just shy of seven miles each way), do yoga several times a week, run (5K) most weekends, and fast (nowt between my evening meal and lunch). I've also given up tea (I'm not a coffee drinker) for lent. I cannot put my sence of feeling great on staying porn free, I think physique changes from yoga played more of a role, but it does all hang together as a version of me I am happier with.

I am still (obviously) tempted by pornography, but I'm currently able to just say "no, that's not what I do anymore" and I do think that giving up masturbation has made it easier to reject porn. When I get to the 5th of April my 180 days PM-free will be up and I'll need to decide what to do about masturbation. I think masturbation is natural, healthy, and *not* immoral, but I cannot ignore the feeling that staying free of masturbation is helping me stay free of pornography. So maybe I'll extend the goal to a year and see what effect that has. I'm still thinking it all through.

Great to see you working Active Recovery, mate. I reckon its those broader lifestyle changes that will get us there in the end.

I'm mainly keeping my journal over on the NoFap forums but I wanted to post a quick update here too. I'm still PM free and it is coming round to a year! I'm proud but I also recognise that porn will always be a temptation for me. I started trying to give up back in 2010 and my longest streak was about 22 months. But still, a year will be worth celbrating. The suprising thing I have learnt this time around is that absteining from masturbation actually helps me to resist pornography.

Main journal's still over on NoFap here, but just popping by to see how everyone's doing. I'm on Day 835 so if all goes well I'll hit 1,000 this year!
