I highly recommend the app "Self Control" on your computer! So far it is saving my ass from relapsing. Thanks Self Control

Back to square 1. What made me relapse was from one single peek, that ultimately led to edging and eventually, there was no turning back because I couldn't control myself. Once I peek, the temptation grows bigger and does not go away. Pretty much made it to 30 days, going for 60 now. Wish me luck.

Just found your journal. It takes bravery to stand up to this problem and continue getting up after being knocked down.

What are you doing in the way of life style change?

I personally found it very difficult to quit porn while I was at University because of the unavoidable need to be by my computer for study. If you are the right kind of learner, working in the library will make a huge difference.

    Best of luck my friend

''As a kid I've always had the idea that porn teaches you how to be better in bed, but in reality it did the complete opposite.'' that was it. keep it up and remember PMO is much much stronger than will power. filter your pc and phone with a passcode which should be put and remembered by someone else. willpower is not gonna last for a long time not to mention depression, hopelessness, frustration... that lead to relapses, willpower will drop any moment, and you will be attacked that moment. we humanbeing are so weak, no matter how far you get, don't ever let your guard down. may god guide us all!

So far going strong! What are some indications that I am on the right path of recovery? Also, I'm a bit worried about running into a flat line. :/

Thank You for the messages! It's really keeping my hopes up! Recently I've been just forgetting about how many days I've been PMO free. Just know that you're recovering day by day

Just relapsed...I feel weak, shitty, impotent, my immune system feels low. I don't attract friends or even females. Stress, unmotivated, tired. I survived 27 days, and I am definitely proud of that. I gotta pick myself up and keep moving on.

That's brilliant! Well done for not falling prey to the chaser effect, it is not an easy thing to do.

I peeked at one video and now the urge is driving me crazy. I'm not giving in, this is the hardest part of recovery.

I'd avoid using the computer completely for the next few days if you can. Spending some time socialising is a must- it will distract your mind away from the cravings.

I ended up relapsing due to stress from school. I feel like complete shit now. My life changes here!
How do you guys deal with the urge from stress?

    Don't lose heart.

It is difficult to say. In most short-term cases, I actually found stress a good killer for cravings. It was only when I experienced constant strong anxiety for weeks on end in my last major reboot that the idea of using porn to bring relief seemed appealing. We are all different. If stress is a trigger for you, my advise is to find a healthy way to manage it like meditation or exercise.

Honestly dude, I've been in your shoes where you attempt no PMO for a while but relapse every few weeks.. it sucks! But you need to keep in perspective your end goal. You need to embrace life without porn. Everyone's different but all-in-all the best way to combat this is lifestyle change.

Try not to focus on not watching porn as much as filling that void thing other things.

Also, try keeping a journal and identifying what might be triggering porn useage for you. I did this, mentally, and learned that whenever I played video games I was more likely to binge eat unhealthy foods or watch porn because nothing else was as stimulating. For you it could be something different, but there is most likely something triggering your urge for porn.

Either way.. good luck and cheers! 8)
