    I like how you describe changing your practice to sending kindness.... this sounds like an example of consciously choosing a different neuropathway, stepping out of the old rutted pathway and purposefully creating a new healthy one. This is a great example of rewiring in action. This should contribute to "those flashbacks, urges" going away in time.

    Reminds me of Robert Frost's words -

    Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
    I took the one less traveled by,
    And that has made all the difference.

    Doing good here, keeping away from the computer for much of my time at the moment if possible, will have to re-engage with it more next week so will be around more and look forward to catching up with some of your journals.
