No narrative this time.
I have resigned myself to the fact that it is time go down a few grades and consolidate my learning.
First day of scuba diving in the ocean. Had trouble with my mask initially, but "got it" before I knew it.
4-5 hours of having NOTHING to think about involving this forum.
More scuba diving - certified now!
At the begininng of Day 4. LET'S DO THIS.
If anyone can remind me of how to get the PMO counter as part of my sig, I'd appreciate it.
Not working, unfortunately, on either Chrome or IE. Thank you, though.
Either way, Day 4. Traumatic day for in-home reasons. Gotta be careful and stay vigilant.
Stayed vigilant. Success!
Day 5 morning with some time to myself - gonna make good choices.
Yay! Well done.
Just keep going, if you fall, get up and keep going. Whatever happens, keep going.
awesome exaso! that is the way to get momentum rolling. very brave of you sir!
Thanks, guys. End of Day 5. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great work on first 5 days. Keep at it!
Thanks, guys. Early on in Day 6 and apart from a few (very) mild temptations to mentally wander... I'm in good shape.
Hope you're all having a good day!
good going exaso.
End of Day 7.
Some arguments that would have sent me into a spiral. I think I ate my way through the stress today. Can't do that all the time, but for our purposes... I suppose today was a success.
Sounds like great success to me. Good job.
@exaso can you find a few minutes each day to spend a little more time on 'active' recovery? Instead of purely counting down the days surely we'd all benefit from digging deeper and trying to resolve other issues. e.g. you could try to introduce some meditation to help keep you on track or perhaps do some reading into ways of handling your emotions better. You can't fall back on PMO or overeating every time you have an argument, feel stressed / tired etc. Anyway, it was just a suggestion - hope to hear more about your progress soon.
agree with Rapha... but hey this is your path brother! Glad you are trucking on through this.
This is only one of several methods of attack, rest assured. Though I need to ramp up on the exercise and meditation fronts, admittedly, I've been seeing a therapist for the first time in awhile, and I listen to podcasts (Pornfree Radio, Sex Addictions and Porn Afflictions).
From time to time I read and watch forum-approved videos on the topic, so... I'm doing more than just counting. But since you brought it up, the countdown (countup?) is helpful for a reason. I was here once or twice before, and I blathered and worked myself up. Too much "trying to figure myself out" at length, and not enough relaxing. The brief posts these days... they are intentionally brief.
End of Day 8.
Mid-day #11. Noticing that my drive is showing small signs of returning.
13. Going great.
15 today. Had some urges but brushed them away by focusing on work and/or meditation.
