So much time has passed since April 16
Original post made on 111 days, started on 2012.04.16.

One successful reboot recipe with personal experience:

DETERMINATION = Reboot done in one go.
Why is this in the recipe? Because if you fail and relapse - every other reboot attempt becomes harder and harder until you have no motivation at all and failure becomes one huge fear. You just feel the huge pressure from the past failures and you lose the desire to try once more, you just give up.

GOALS = To measure my progress.
Why is this in the recipe? Because if you have no measurable goals then you can't track your progress and how will you know whether you've accomplished anything or not? It's not effective if you cannot measure it.

REASONS = To remember myself why am I doing this.
Why is this in the recipe? If you have no reasons written down then ask yourself why the hell are you rebooting then if you got no reason to? If you will feel an urge to relapse then it's almost a 100% guarantee that you will because you have no reasons not to.

SUPPORT= Support means not only writing your own journal and waiting for support but also supporting others.
Why is this in the recipe? Because it plays an important part in the reboot. That's why there are forums and answers to questions. You're always willing to do more if you know that someone believes in you and you just don't want to let them down. Supporting others benefits not only them but benefits you aswell. Sharing is caring. (Sharing support in this case). And you will get more support yourself if you support others. (Let's not be selfish here, you know how important support is in our daily lifes and challenges).

CONFIDENCE = I was 100% confident that I can and will do this in one go. Results? I've done it.
Why is this in the recipe? Well how can you achieve something if you think you can't? Trust yourself. You are in control of the reboot so be confident that you are able to control every single urge and that you WILL be successful while rebooting.

    POSITIVITY = A great add-on to confidence.
Why is this in the recipe? Because you program yourself for success or failure. So be positive and program yourself for success. Turn every "I can't, I won't, it's hard" to "I CAN, I WILL, IT'S EASY".

HONESTY = Be completely honest with yourself.
Why is this in the recipe? Because if you edged - you edged, if you relapsed - you relapsed. Avoid lying to yourself, if you keep on lying to yourself that negative things such as those are nothing bad and you can do it again then I can guarantee that you will achieve failure. Be completely honest with yourself.

SELF DISCIPLINE= Do what needs to be done.
Why is this in the recipe? Because at some moment you will flatline and you will lose your motivation to reboot and you will start thinking about relapsing and giving up. Discipline is about knowing and doing what needs to be done in this case it means successful rebooting and defeating every urge to relapse.

ACTIVITIES= Stay focused and stay busy.
Why is this in the recipe? Because you already learned (possibly the dissapointing way) that boredom is a huge trigger. Being bored gets you closer to the point of looking at porn than you think. One of the successful ways to reboot without relapsing - staying busy. Get some new goals - go for them, go out of your comfort zone, do new stuff, make friends, connect with friends that you exchanged for PMO, stay active, stay busy, stay successful and focused. [/center]

Good post, what goals did you set yourself? i cant think of any goals for myself apart from maybe completing so many days.

    Thanks Maximus,

my main goal was getting rid of PMO. I did a big shot - 1 year. And I've divided it into chunks of the goal, 1 week, 3 weeks, a month, 1,5 months, 2 months, 3 months and so on.

You can add additional goals as you wish, for e.g. some use "find a girlfriend", others decide to exercise. It doesn't have to be completely reboot related (although finding a girlfriend and exercising would be super beneficial).

    Did I answer your question?

Mega Awesome post! Your the Alpha Male! :)

I liked the part where you need to have goals, my initial goal is 90 days and then I see where I go from there.

You truly are an inspiration to me. :D

    Hi pal!

I love your story and it does give me hope!

The thing with me I've been going 17 weeks.

2 relapses to MO with a toy a week apart
1 relapse to a you tube vid, hated my self after doing it
But also I was texting fantasy eith girls a lot.

So this all has to stop! I'm completely stopping everything!

I'll meet with girls and try to relax but I just can't seem to get my libido jump started.
I had a girl round the other night but I'm not that into her and she knows all my mates for a start. She promises really good sexual things to me but I think the knowing all my mates is really hindering me. Any thoughts! This libido is a bitch! I'm only going to keep going as I've nothing to lose obviously! Ha

T11, I wish you could have my Libido for a while, its way too much for me to handle at the moment ;)

    Good luck with the reboot.

Dont hate your self, you are human after all! :p

    Hey there T11,

thanks, I'm glad it helps you in some way.

If you relapsed recently then that struck your libido.

Your libido will get jump started after having some intimacy and kisses, I'm sure of it. Are you really not that into her? Then you wouldn't have mentioned that she promised really good sexual things to you. ;) So what that she knows your mates? There's only a minor chance that she will tell anyone about this sex with details.

I'd say go for it. Sex shot my libido through the roof. Just look how you'll feel when you start having some intimacy with a girl and some nice kisses and everything else.. :)

Oh come on, you've been waiting for that libido for so long and now you wanna give it away? :) Enjoy the inner blaze. ;)

Re: RECIPE FOR SUCCESS [128 Days]

    Thought I'd share this.

As disappointing it may sound - even at this point of 128 days I'm still not in the safe zone.

I still get thoughts about porn. (Got one today).

The thing that needs to be realized is that you won't be completely clean after 90 days. After 90 days of rebooting you'll just start noticing the positive effects of rewiring. This is a long process and in my opinion it could take up to 200 days even 300 days, a year to become clean.. Understand that all the years of porn wiring can't be cleaned out in such a short period of time.
