Don't be ashamed of your addiction.

Having an addiction makes you interesting. There's an interesting dynamic about people who have demons. You're more complex. You're tragically human. You've damaged yourself with reckless abandon. It's weird. It's crazy. It doesn't make any sense.

And you can beat it, if you want. Beating an addiction makes you far more awesome than someone who never had anything to battle.

The life stories of addicts are fascinating. Don't let your addiction be something you hide from yourself or you make out to be more serious than it is. Beat your addiction, live to tell about it, and make yourself more interesting because of it.
