    Hello
Thanks for reading. I'm in college and actually very happy with my life. I don't have a girlfriend and haven't had sex for about 2 years, which sucks but I dont persue girls much anymore. Not because of confidence or social skills but priorities. "Why should I pursue these dumb sluts, they are not attractive and I'm having a great time not getting manipulated." Girls love to play with guys and are not shy about it. When I go out with friends that are girls, they shock me with how cruel and manipulative they can be while some SOB just wasted his whole night getting played and he had no idea. Then there is the other side. I am not attracted to many girls because they seem so unintelligent so often, plus I dont get down to dub step, which is a sin in Colorado. I'd be more attracted if "social scenarios" these days had more social interaction. Everyone seems awkward at many parties, not knowing what to do or how to be social with other people. Loud dubstep and beer pong dominate.

Im quitting because my penis is shriveled and worn out. I think my testosterone has gone down as well. It's about time I met a nice girl and have the life I want instead of of so many wasted hours getting high and playing video games with my roommates. Plus I knew I had a problem when gnarly porn is boring.

I'm on day 2 of my addiction freeze. Really want to just go " look" at porn, but that's a bad idea. My biggest problem is having a goto thing to do when I want to rub one out or get high, or both. I read a lot so I use that but I don't always feel like reading. In the meantime I guess I'm gonna come here and read on the subject or write in the journal.

Thanks for the support. Open to any advice as well.

Stick with it! There's alot of suggestions for things to do on the Your Brain on Porn website, and in people's journals. i find working out helps a lot. I think you'll need to be open to things changing as you go through it, and realise just what effect this addiction was having on you. Admitting the problem and writing a journal seems liek a great start to me anyway.

Man, college sounds really lame these days. I remember when I was in college everyone I hung out with listened to really cool music like the Velvet Underground and Spacemen 3. I don't even want to know what "dubstep" is.

Anyway, playing video games is extremely immature, as is jerking off to porn. Stop doing both. There's an absolutely brilliant book by a sociologist called "Guyland", which deals with the phenomenon of young men remaining boys until they are well into their late 20's. There are chapters on video games and pornography.

At any rate, given the realizations you've made thus far, you're pretty well ahead of your peers. Just stick with it and you'll be good. I'll look forward to your future journal entries.

Man you sound bitter. How have you come to think that most girls are manipulative, cruel, and unintelligent? There are of course people like that out there, but I honestly think that they are a minority. I know a hell lot of girls and most have hearts of gold. Maybe you should just pick your female friends better. And to that think most girl are dumb, what the hell man? How can you even think that way? Good luck trying to find a girl with that attitude.

    Anyways, welcome to the forum.

Psychosis, have to disagree with you about the videogames. In fact, I would slap you in the face if you said gaming is immature and a waste of time ;D (ok, not really). Agreed, some FPS shooters are just mindless clicking, but games like Mass Effect 1&2 or The Witcher are just pure gold. They both have very mature storytelling and beautifully constructed worlds which offer a fantastic gaming experience. I'd say the experience is equal to reading a really good book, except that in game you get to choose how your hero or anti-hero acts.

Relapsed last night... This is hard, no pun. I am finding myself more productive and with a much bigger drive to hook up, close, but was unsuccessful last night haha. Not giving up though. Once I have made the conscious choice to get out of this habit, it became much easier and I'm not having as many urges urges. Mind over matter. I'm finding that this project is more a way to be more active instead of killing time watching porn.

  6. Good job man, I know how you feel about the girls. There's good ones out there, but I feel they're definitely the minority.
