    Hey guys, new member here.

I just had a question about this no PMO thing. I heard that masturbating can help prevent prostate cancer in men. So does that mean that this 'project' can be dangerous, since it leaves us with a higher risk of getting prostate cancer? Please elaborate on this. Thank you in advance to everyone that answers. :)

P.S. I'm on day 7 of no PMO.

Often times that is your brain trying to justify watching porn. As far as I know hard proof that masturbating lowers the risk of prostate cancer. Taking a break from masturbation won't hurt you. If your body needs to ejaculate, it will by having a wet dream.

My take on cancer is that everything causes cancer. Sunlight causes cancer, certain foods cause cancer, elements in the soil cause cancer, the list goes on...

Read this article as well, it may clear up your concerns.

If you don't have wet dreams, your sperm is naturally evacuated through urine anyway.

I don't believe there is conclusive evidence to suggest that masturbating has those effects after reading countless articles on the matter, but I can't say that for certain. These are just my opinions. What I do know is this: too much masturbation isn't good, in can cause unwanted physical side effects such as tiredness, sluggishness, and brain fog with or without porn. I believe masturbation without porn or porn fantasies based on sensation in moderation is healthy and is not harmful. Abstaining from masturbation, like what the others have said already, isn't bad for you either. Wet dreams will address that issue.

The sensation of blue balls makes guys worry that they physically have to release or something will go wrong. The longer i abstained the less blue balls i got, so i figure it was mental/brain trying to troll me into relapse.

Anyway if you're worried just see a doctor for checkups more frequently. The benefits of not fapping are definitely worth a bit of extra vigilance.
