    hey friends!
I am joining this forum Becusse i am looking to quit watching porn for good!
    Just like everyone else here!
I only watch it maybe 1-2 times a week, but I really would like to ditch it all together.
It only seems to get “triggered” when I get bored at home.
Does anyone have any tips on how to start breaking that?
    Thanks!

    Welcome VJOW.

What made you realize that porn is a problem for you?

This suggests to me that you are young and/or new to No PMO. That's actually quite a lot, assuming that you're edging when you do "watch". It could be worse, when I was in college, I would have a couple multi-hour binges every day and be rushing home saying to myself "porn, porn, porn, porn".

Until you build some resistance, I would say "don't get bored". There is always something to do. It doesn't have to be super ambitious, just get moving on something that isn't on the computer.

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you already identified a cue that leads to porn use, so just make adjustments by changing up your daily routine to avoid getting bored at home.

    UPDATE:
2 days in and doing well.
Mindfulness based meditation is helping a lot.
I would encourage some to try it if you haven’t!

    Day 3:
Thinking this will serve as a means of documentation for me.
Finding sex drive to be almost non existent, I have read that it take a litttle while to “reboot” staying optimistic!

    Day 6.
Noticing how much I can sometimes see legs or hips on women and view them objectively rather than realizing they are human.
It seems the pornography has a stronger grasp than I thought!
I was tired from working early today but was very aware of how the temptation could come up.
    Stoked about that!
    Let’s keep it going!

    Day 11:
Still NF but finding myself getting irritable while simultaneously craving it.
Are “withdrawal-ish” symptoms something that happens to everyone?
    This shit is hard yo!

    Day 15:
I am getting the hang of not giving in when I’m sleep deprived. As Monday’s and Tuesday’s are my “early” days. (4am wake time)
    Feeling great!
Devoting my time to other stuff that’s MUCH more worth while!
    Cheers.

    Day 26:
I got married last weekend and just wrapped up our honeymoon!
“Cravings” for PMO are almost non existent and my wife and I had sex twice in one day on our honeymoon, that’s a first. The sex drive for her exclusively is AWESOME. I feel so lucky to have a great forum like this bro remind me that I am not alone, and that we CAN overcome this.
    Cheers!

    Officially day 30.
Does anyone else have withdrawal symptoms like just basically feeling “flat” about things?
Did porn really have this big of a hold on me?
    I guess I didn’t think I had a problem until I stopped!

Yes, feelings of "flatness" or vague "emptiness" are the primary withdrawal symptoms. However, the good news is that these symptoms are the worst of the withdrawals, any others symptoms are people over dramatizing the condition and blaming porn on all of their problems.

If you can learn how to get over that feeling, you can beat the addiction. It is basically an itch that you feel like you can't scratch, like you're missing something by giving up PMO. This illusion keeps people in the PMO trap indefinitely by causing them to delude themselves themselves into thinking that PMO will relieve that scratch. The reality is that it's PMO that causes that "itch" (another way to think of it is a void) in the first place. No amount of PMO will ever satisfy that itch.

    Day 42:
Finding I have more energy to meditate, read, and even picked up a go karting build hobby!?
Starting to learn that PMO was truly a habit, something I never even thought twice about. Just did it!
I have always wanted to quit PMO mainly because of the humanitarian principles.
Human trafficking and all of those things. Wanted to not be a part of something so violent and cruel.
So I am very excited to be almost at two months.
Cheers to that, and cheers to all of the amazing support on this forum.
The power of positive energy from other humans is incredible.
    Thank you all.
    Let’s keep this rolling.

    Day 63:
I am seeming to find a nice source of energy for hobbies and spending time with my wife just to spend time.
    It’s so lovely and fulfilling.
Hatha yoga is also something I have fallen in love with.
Helps with mind body connection to help understand those “urges” are simply thoughts just like everything else and once I understand that. I am in control.
    Cheers!
