Hey Moz, thanks for checking in x2 I was out of town last week visiting my daughter, and had a great visit with her. Our relationship continues to improve, and that means the world to me. For the past 10 days, I'd been struggling to keep myself in the sober lane, and yesterday I revisited the PMO highway full force. As always, the short-term relief felt good, and it does nothing for my long-term growth. Both Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I had a clear moment as I started each day to make it a constructive day, and chose to ignore that, and instead, get into my porn rituals. Choosing health takes effort, at least in the short term, and I simply wasn't willing to exert it. Today, I'm putting forth the effort
Thanks for checking in, Clovis I've had a number of moments where I've wanted to do some writing the past several days, and have chosen to ignore them, and gone the PMO route instead. I have a fear that if I sit down to write, that it will be a grind. The only way to find out though, is to sit down and write. I will do that today.
Sat down and had a very productive day writing - glad that I was willing to do this. Will do more of the same today.

Hey Moz, have Gansett I've been wobbling back and forth between the straight and narrow and the PMO highway. I've been doing lots of writing on my book, and haven't been motivated to do any here, as my journalling has been along side my writing. Time to check in here. My biggest stressor has been my writing, and I've driven off on the PMO highway rather than write a several times the past couple of weeks. The flip side is that I've made some progress on my book as well. The creative process can be a bear. A couple of weeks ago, a spent time with my daughter for a few days, and had a fantastic visit. Tomorrow, I'm flying up north to spend some time with my ex - we're still very good friends and she's doing some editing on my book. Looking forward to some quality time with her. It will be good to be away from the computer
Yes, being away from the computer will do you good. It's rare when I can be screen free for a whole day. If you count the phone as screen time, then it's been years. Glad you're working on the book again!

Thanks for checking in, Moz I've been remiss in posting here, and have been doing plenty of writing outside of this forum. This process is quite the process, that is for sure... I'll make it a point to check in with more detail in the near future.
Glad you're doing some writing, NCBob. That's and example I should start following. I always have this fear that what I write will be found out. But, why should I worry about that? Would someone really read all of my travails and pass harsh judgment on me? If so, would that be the end of the world? I think not. Carry on, bud.
I just watched this YouTube video, and could not stop crying. I realized that it wasn't only about the dog, it was about me, us, and humanity. Just like the dog, in our own ways, we're deeply wounded. Just like the dog, our woundedness had been ignored by others and masked by ourselves. Healing from our wounds may be the hardest thing, and the most important thing we ever do. Much love to all
it made me cry too. i love dogs. have learned so much from them. how can we just walk by and not help each other. i agree with you NCBob, we are also wounded. this porn addiction makes me broken. like this dog i need to stay after it and rehab. thanks for sharing this. really touched me. after seeing this thought how horrible and evil this vulgar porn addiction is.
This dog is a great lesson in how we just have to carry on, no matter what life throws at us. He's likely not ruminating about what he could have been doing differently the day the car hit him. He's just focused on getting around the best he can. Thanks for sharing this, NCBob!
