is 5.5 inch penis long enough?

... okay, that's it, here's where I want to say "I quit the Internet".

You hear so many conflicting messages about dick size when talking about it with other people, it's literally impossible to extract any sort of solid truth from it. If you're at a certain size around the statistical average, it seems like everyone has a different opinion about your dick. Since most of us are apparently around that average, I feel that it's not that useful to discuss length.

Instead, I'd like to add yet another element to this conversation that may be more... revealing.

For those men in here with at least average size or larger penises that have problems with ejaculatory control (either too fast or too slow) or feel like you can compare your sex to poking around painfully in your girl's guts with a broomstick... how many of you are circumcised?

What part of what I just said would even make you think that?

How far can you go in lying about a 5.5? I know I said I was a 5.5 in the OP but I measured a few more times (that would be understating it, I actually measured like 10 more times after this post) and found out it is a 5.8-6" AT LEAST. That said if I lie that I have a 6.5 will they notice? No girl unless she's a slut is going to measure my dick to check (but alas sluts are the hottest girls) :/

I don't quite follow your logic there. Why would a slut want to measure your penis? Doesn't the term slut imply apathy toward the partners they bed?

No one is going to measure your penis. I'm sure more experienced women have a better sense of things. Seeing something and feeling something are completely different though. That's why it just depends on the person.

I am not... Does it make any difference?
I feel like there is way to much skin still left when I'm 100% hard and it kind of bothers me a bit (specially when using a condom), so I have though of going through surgery, but not sure if it's worth the risk.

Just avoid the rare size queens, and everything will be OK.
Big size matters a lot only for a little minority of women (less than 5%).
An average tool will do well the work, if you, as a man and as a lover will do your part, loving the woman and making her feel loved, special, beautiful, cared, etc...

I sorely wish that I was in your shoes, Arth. Unlike you, I was not left with the choice of what to do with my own body (as my home country has decided only to award that human right to the half of our population that possesses a vagina), and ever since the first time that I masturbated to orgasm when I was 16 years old, my orgasms have been complete shit. As in, 99 times out of 100, I would barely feel anything. I bought 100% into the desensitizing effects of pornography and overstimulation when I first started really digging into that subject, and I still think the arguments made in favor of NoFap are scientifically sound, but my views overtime have evolved to the point where I think NoFap is not wrong, but in many ways not a complete answer. One of those ways is the issue of sexual sensitivity.

I think that a lot of damage has been done to American men sexually in the past century. Much of the blame can be directed toward the porn industry and the mainstream media at large* for reprogramming people's expectations and habits, but the one thing that almost nobody is willing to talk about or even acknowledge in the real world is circumcision. It is a fact that the foreskin is the most erogenous tissue on an intact penis, with 10,000 - 20,000 nerve endings that not only provide pleasurable sensations, but also allow you to sense some form of build-up to the orgasm and thus provides more control over when you ejaculate. It is a fact that this skin covers the penis-head and keeps it from drying out and building up layers of dead skin that cover its pressure-sensing nerve endings and desensitize it. It is a fact that the most sensitive part of a circumcised penis, if carried out like your run-of-the-mill routine infant circ., is the scar (that skin that's a diffferent color) left over from the inner foreskin that the doctor couldn't amputate. As a circumcised man, I can confirm that the scar is pretty much the only part where I feel any real sensitivity to light touch, and that I often can't tell that I'm about to cum until it feels like I'm about to piss myself, which as I understand is not how sexual arousal is supposed to function. I could go on further in depth about its effects, even about how it degrades the sexual experience for women (ever hear of ribbed condoms?), but I don't want to ramble on too much more here. Google is your friend.

When there is a significant overlap in the number of men that have a porn addiction and the men that were circumcised at birth (both populations mostly residing in oversexed and knife-happy America), I think that it would be foolish and irresponsible to continue to ignore how it has impacted those men's sexual difficulties and complaints, even in relation to this topic of size, as circumcision is essentially a widespread and popular form of penis reduction surgery, taking off about half of the overall penile skin on average and in many cases not leaving men with enough skin to reach their full erect length and girth.

    * If you, the reader, want to talk about personal responsibility and addictions for the ten thousandth time just because I said "the porn industry did so-and-so to us", you're not wrong, but that has nothing to do with the point I'm trying to make.

Mine is not even 3 inches in flaccid state (had to measure it recently for my plan to get a custom-made male chastity belt:that's right, I took the measuring tape to it).

If you must choose between a future wife who will care more for the content of your character and another the length of your penis, which would you prefer?

I think that the "problem" of size is almost all in the mind...and i think it is counterproductive indulge on thinking about this "problems".
I had this "problem" in the past, now I understand that derived from porn, not only because I saw really huge sausages, but also to have influenced myself (only with porn) about this and for the list of inner problem that porn is concerned (no self esteem, obsession, unrealistic thought).
Just focused on my self and self-referenced.
If you doubt to have a normal penis, you have to stop to think about at least you accomplish your recovery.
There is no use to think on this "problem",try to move on.
Maybe one day you will understand that the size matters only in the way you think it count.

The whole girth thing confuses me. In some cases it sounds like penises are as wide as they are long? Am I reading something incorrectly?

  14. You're confusing width with circumference. When people talk about girth, they mean circumference.

Dude if you need to tell your dick measurements to a girl you are doing it wrong. Stop obsessing about it - your other attributes are what make you successful in finding a great partner and in pleasing her. You have a dick in totally normal size range - stop thinking about it. There is plenty you can do to improve yourself in other ways. Evolve: read, exercise, have a challenging hobby, go to concerts. Learn about female body BUT don't obsess about technicalities etc. You will anyway have to relearn most of it with each woman.

And god, Metal, you are a loser.
