My love affair with porn has been off and on over the years. I first heard of nofap compliments of Terry Crews a couple years back. Decided to give it a try, and after going through hell, I managed to stay clean for more than 6 months. Then I relapsed, and for the past year and a half I have been unsuccessful in going without PMO for longer then 30 days or so.

Since I have nobody that I can talk with about this, I have decided to come here for support.

Let's see if I can dump this albatross hanging around my neck once and for all.

Good luck on your journey, JustDone. I have just started a new reboot myself. PMO is a beast and it takes hard work and dedication but I know you can do it. There are many success stories on here.

Hey JustDone - how you doing today? I hope you're still PMO free or at least committed to recovery. Reading these journals helps in ways you may not realize. The importance of community can't be overstated. PMO is often a private, lonely struggle. You have a community here.

I did alright yesterday. Caught myself peeking in the AM, but stopped and went outside to work around the property. Once I was away from my phone and occupied all was good. Went to the gym in the afternoon.

I'm having urges today, but have been able to hold them off so far.

Thank you for checking on me.

I hope all is well with you.

  6. Welcome @JustDone .

It sounds like you know it isn't as easy as declaring it done.

I agree with @bu1999. There is a lot of wisdom in these journals. There are also a lot of tips and tricks to help you in your journey. And there are people here who you can talk to about this stuff.

Knowingly or not you discovered two on your own it sounds like:

Stay productively busy as many times it is idleness and boredom that lets the peeking slip in and lead to disaster.
Physical activity at the gym will help the reboot/rewiring process.

    Good luck!

Well, back at it again. Under a tremendous amount of stress, I crumbled last Wednesday (03/14), and binged, PMO'ing twice that day. I have pulled myself back up by my bootstraps, and have resolved to once again make it past the 100 day mark. Here's hoping!

I admire you as it sounds like you have been able to reach the 30 day mark more than once. I have found it difficult to make it past a week or two and look forward to getting to where you are today! So I hope even as you are pushing your limits to even greater heights that you will be able to take justifiable pride in the level of self-control you've already reached.
