My story is too long to write here as it could be a book. So I'll just cover the past month. I've struggled with erectile dysfunction ever since my late teens. But I finally made a serious commitment to quit porn a month ago. I failed to get an erection at all with someone I was very attracted to, and I was devastated.

I had made some progress between practicing and using Viagra. But it still felt like the best I could achieve as far as sex was just getting by. And sometimes, as what happened last month, there still was no guarantee of success. So after being mortified and down in the dumps, I finally decided that I had to give up the porn. And I haven't pleasured myself to it once since. I miss it, but I know what it is, and I know what it does to people. I also am limiting masturbation even without pornography. But that has been harder and I'm not sure yet what to think about how much masturbation without porn is acceptable.

It would appear that I need less stimulation to get going at this point. That is really good. But now I am struggling with premature ejaculation, both with partners and on my own. It actually used to be the other way around, but now without porn and without masturbating multiple times a day, the semen just comes right out way before I want it to and I can't seem to control it. Maybe if I picture a lamp or a chair in my head that could slightly prolong the experience... But that's not too fun thinking about a chair now is it?

So I'm glad to say I've been doing a great job at avoiding porn. But it still feels like having sex without pills and while having full control over the timing of my ejaculation is a pipe dream. And I don't get a lot of opportunity to practice since generally people don't want to hook up with me more than once or twice even when it does go well. I'm still trying to figure out why.
