It totally is non-linear to this day! I feel great today, even though I slept like crap...but, no urges for porn. Also, my nasal cycle doesn't "turn off" anymore post O.
    It's a long winding road.

Feeling great, no urges for PMO or MO. I highly recommend doing a few cleansing diets and cleansing of the internal organs for anyone who's been addicted to P...don't want to get into it here, but if you want to PM me, I am more than happy to divulge what I've been doing.

    Word.

That advice regarding cleansing is something I must consider as part of my depression/anxiety recovery plan... So glad you are strong and feeling great 40New30!

Zippy. This is tremendous especially so to a guy who loves music. I will be sharing this with my men's recovery group. Great Inspiration, Bro.

I've lost about 25 pounds this year, and I want to go about 10 more. 210 to 175.

I've only started really cleaning out my organs and digestive system seriously in the last several months...and it's still a mess, according to people in the know it will take 3 to 12 months to get back into shape.

I have virtually zero natural stomach acid production...which I've come to believe is more common than almost anyone realizes. No stomach acid equals no ability to kill parasites in our food and water, robust candida overgrowth, malabsorption of key nutrients, leaky gut, and so on.

This is definitely one of the root causes of a lot of mental fog as well as a driving force behind all addictions.

When you're low dope & low serotonin (virtually all neurotransmitters are created in the intestines), then, you NEED a high to feel normal...whether it's coffee, tobacco, cocaine, alcohol, people, porn, Facebook, movies, etc.

    Peace, bros.

I've been taking a PPI for over ten years. I just recently have halved the medication. I intend on coming off of it completely, but the rebound from these drugs is a bitch! I know that limiting my carbs helps a ton. I agree that our intestinal health is vital to over all well-being. 25 lbs is awesome!

Hi 40New30, thanks for eye opening messages regarding gut health. I need to begin work on this.

this is solid Truth brother. Low dopamine and serotonin is a rough ride... I am using both SSRI and now a low dose of wellbutrin, I guess these attempt to at least keep whatever serotonin and dopamine and noepinephrine that we have circulating a bit longer??

PPI's are rough...I've read that the person usually has low stomach acid and not too much. But, it's case by case.
Malabsorption is rampant in our societies...because of multiple factors, but it really all goes back to chemicals that were never supposed to be in our bodies messing us up.

I'm still taking amino acids (tyrosine, cysteine, 5 htp) and low dose deprenyl to manage my neurotransmitter depletion from poor gut health...I believe that once my digestion issues are taken care of I won't need to run these types of protocols, but we'll see.

Low dose SSRI and Wellbutrin work well, but the sides can get out of control for some of us, and we're not really treating the root cause.

The source of these neurotransmitter issues always involves gut health; the prescription though is so many lifestyle changes, fasts, and herbal medicines and for so long (months and months) that most people would rather take the happy pills. I am choosing the hard path now so that I can truly get healthy...it was the same thing with quitting porn, months of painful withdrawal to break free.

If you need some resources to get started on this let me know. Body Ecology is a great website that I trust.

    Hey brothers.

Checking in less and less the last few weeks...I will try to be more active. Everything's going great; though I do still struggle with a little brain fog (due I believe to candida/parasites more than PMO), and some problems with insomnia and erections post O.

(In case you're wondering, I am doing a parasite cleanse right now, and yes, "they" have come out in my stool -- this is not uncommon in any way, shape, or form, in fact YOU probably have some too.)

These mild remaining issues (fog, somewhat lower libido, occasional weaker erections, insomnia) have less to do with my past PMO'ing than they do with my overall health; these issues have been with me for years and, in fact, I'm positive they made my PMO addiction much worse than it would have been.

They were a catalyst -- part of the fuel on the PMO fire.

This was the vicious cycle I was unwittingly in for years...it goes something like this -- PMO addiction messes up your endocrine system and adrenals (HPT axis) over time; which automatically lowers your immunity; which lowers stomach acid production; creating a breeding ground for parasites, candida, and very weak digestion; which was initially created by anti-biotic over use (90% of antibiotics made in the U.S. are used in the commercial factory farmed meat that most of us eat every day, three meals a day, every day, for years, for many of us). And this doesn't even touch on GMO's and chemicals in our water.

Vicious. Cycle. If you eat commercial meat you're dosing yourself with antibiotics every single day, killing your gut flora, or, that which digests your food.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that PMO created all of your life's problems; addressing underlying modern health and lifestyle issues will be co-factors in healing from PMO addiction, or, they can play a part in keeping us in the active addiction cycle.

Ever wonder why so many successfully recovered addicts become health "nuts"? Hint, hint.

Think broadly and heal on all levels, my friends.

    Peace out.

I hear you my friend. I am now looking at gut health, and the things I eat and drink more carefully. Some of my energy problems are definitely due to the foods and drinks I choose to consume.

I eat zero junk food...always have been disciplined about that, probably because I figured out that junk food makes me feel like shit -- even when I was back in college this was hitting me already. I have a serious gluten allergy, and carb intolerance...certainly this is all related to digestion, but I didn't know that in 1994.

I would cut out all serious allergens -- dairy, soy, wheat, and corn. They are in almost everything most Americans eat. This will force you to eat real food.

I actually have brought back some caffeine this week, but I do still think it needs to cycled (at least 2 days off per week), and you need to hit your magnesium, potassium, and greens really hard to buffer all that acidity and yang power.

In addition you really need to use tyrosine/5 htp to replenish neurotransmitters burned from caffeine boost. It's complex.

Also, caffeine is a vasoconstrictor...if you have bad inflammation levels and/or need healing of the delicate pelvis floor muscles then you must lay off caffeine for a while....you can come back in moderation, I'm living proof of that...a few months ago I couldn't drink a coffee without pissing 20 times in a row, now I can drink a pot and not even feel an urge.

Cardiovascular exercise will burn out the excess adrenaline from coffee, but if you don't exercise or sweat in a sauna you're kind of screwed. It's about your entire life balance...complex systems interworking together.

What is good from someone else, may not be good for you. There is no silver bullet, we all have to test different waters to see what works for us. :)

So, I orgasmed again last night...I'm doing an experiment to see if I can start to handle one per week.

I figure this should up regulate some things in my bodily system doing this (things which may have have down regulated with so few O's over 15 months), there is no way a guy who's 44 and in great shape shouldn't be able to handle one O per week. Let's see if things up regulate over a few weeks (things may even jump start a bit more)...let's see.

As expected I had some insomnia last night (post O), and I expect to have a little tonight and then it should be over...that has been the pattern.

I can handle 2 nights of slight insomnia per week for a while, I really think I need to re-train my body to O more regularly.

We'll see how the experiment turns out in 4 to 6 weeks of trial and error.

Other than the insomnia I feel great today...so, is it really that much of a negative to open up the O's? I'm thinking, no.

    Peace bros.

That's a pretty damn good diet...though perhaps a little low on protein (hemp protein could work well for you); if you're vegetarian (seems like you are) you'll probably be low in creatine, carnitine, and vitamin B12 (if you aren't already)....maybe iron. I also recommend omega 3's....vegetarian supplements will derive omega 3 from plant sources, they're pretty expensive, but they are ESSENTIAL fatty acids -- ya need 'em.

As far as I know ALL rice eaten in the U.S., Canada and many other 1st world countries is mandated to be enriched with synthetic folic acid. If you have the wrong MTHFR gene, this "helpful vitamin" (sarcasm) will clog your arteries, create cancers, as well as eventually make your dick droop from horrible circulation problems. Oh not in a day, but in a few years or a few decades it will seriously fuck you up.

Get a genetic test at 23andme.com or simply assume you have the wrong MTHFR gene. Go from rice to sweet potatoes, much better source of starch anyway. Beets, parsnips, rutabagas, carrots...all the foods that magically nobody eats anymore are all the foods we should be eating. It's not magic, by the way, that wheat, sugar, dairy, soy, and corn are pushed hard by the food industry...they can be very addictive. But, I don't think I have to convince you of that, you already know it.

Synthetic folic acid is poison to people like me...I take methylfolate in order to get my folate, as it is pretty much the only form my body can process. This is a huge fucking deal, and one that most people are completely ignorant about. The FDA is in league with Satan, I've no doubt.

All routines are beneficial, and you couldn't me more on the right track to living a fully conscious life.

We're kindred spirits, sir. Yes, all porn is cuckold porn...if you jerk your dick you're training your subconscious mind to believe that you can't get a woman that is all that attractive to sleep with you. That's not why we may start doing it...but that's what you're doing. Draining your mojo.

Feeling great today, zero insomnia last night. Also felt some new life in my boy yesterday, some spontaneity if you will.
The process continues...I don't expect full healing until 24 months, long way to go...but I'm so much farther than I have ever been.

    Peace.

    Glad for you bro.

Sometimes as men what we dread and have our minds on too much becomes self fulfilling prophecies.

Glad you are shaking it all and setting yourself up for RED HOT MONOGAMY. The sooner the better bro.

Hey 40,what's up? Congratulations on your streak and your overall progress.

Your approach on orgasms seems correct to me. You should listen to what your body has to say. How you feel after an orgasm should guide your orgasm frequency. Don't rush it. If after an orgasm you feel shit, you should wait. Then again. If you feel fine, try again sooner. Until you can have orgasms every few days without flatlining or other serious side effects, without thinking the whole day ''WHY THE F*CK DID I O?I AM STUPID'' (seriously , i felt like this many times in the past)

I used to fall in flatline for about a month after a handful of orgasms. Now, i feel much more resilient against this phenomenon, I do not necessary flatline after orgasms, and if I do, it seems to last up to 7-10 days. Orgasm side effects are much more bearable than what they used to be,and quite different...sometimes I even feel refreshed after it. These changes are HUGE for a young fella like me, who is having a taste of proper sex life now for the first time.

Another huge change is that PDE5 inhibitors are somewhat efficient now. Kamagra has now positive effect on my erections. Now that the desensitization is partially reversed, it can boost my erection strenght. I wore a condom for the first time in my life last week. HUGE CHANGES.

There are ways to make monogamy feel great (less orgasms, relationship building, even energy exercises)...but I don't think it's completely natural when it comes down to how men are naturally wired through biology.

However, I am faithful to my wife.

Thank for this post! I couldn't agree more...at this point, for me, it's time to push the envelope a little and see what's possible; it's all just one big experiment, there is definite evidence that orgasming too little isn't good for libido, erections, etc. It's all about what a man can personally handle.

About 4 ot 5 months ago two orgasms within a week to ten days would have been way too much, now I don't think that's the case.

I think inching it up over time is the way to go, and to go by feel. Again, not orgasming for months and months at this stage, I believe, is now counter productive for rewiring as well as for libido stimulation. I mean, I only had one night of slight insomnia after the last orgasm (and I had orgasmed once a week prior to that one for two weeks). That isn't shit for bad symptoms.

My nasal cycle is performing just as well or better than before, and this as been a very important bell weather for what's going on in between my ears ever since I first noticed it.

That's awesome about the condom! When I first started dealing with PIED (right after high speed internet porn came on the scene, of course - 2000), I started having to deal with rubbers (my girlfriend at the time decided that she didn't want to stay on the pill)....I failed to achieve lift off right away. In fact I failed with rubbers virtually every single time (with several other partners), I didn't know it at the time but it was because my dick was very desensitized (along with improperly wired to a screen).

During those days, when I was knee deep in porn I couldn't even feel blowjobs. I remember hooking up with a girl at around 27/28 years old who told me she was a flutist and gave amazing head...couldn't even get hard. Yes, I had had a few beers...but it wasn't the beer, as we both know.

ED at around 27/28 years old was a big factor in removing so much confidence from my life, I didn't acknowledge that at the time though (I repressed it). It wasn't but a year or two after this that I discovered generic Viagra online.

Of course, this just kept me right on PMO'ing and fucking my brain up for over a decade (at times I was almost a shut in). :)
Lots of bad memories there. Ha. Thanks for dredging those up! J/K.

PDE5 inhibitors have almost always worked for me, but I'm almost at the point where I don't need them at all, though I still do for a few weeks post O. Or, at least that has been the pattern, I think it's changing now. I cannot wait to be completely off them.

I do still suffer from less sensation during sex but I believe that's because I held off from O'ing during sex so much...my brain doesn't yet quite fully understand that O's are meant to happen inside my wife. It's complicated in a way, but I just keep progressing and progression.

Also, my dick still sometimes feel rubbery and dead on occasion...but there's absolutely zero pain in my groin anymore even with caffeine use. Progress. There probably some muscular tension issues in my pelvis. I will see a PT eventually about this, just too busy at the moment, and again there is zero pain now.

I think I had a bad case of prostititis and CPPS for at least 12 months.

    Peace, bro.
