Defeating porn in the world

  1. I agree with the original post 100%. But you cannot legislate morality. We live in a nation increasingly rebelling against any kind of restraint. And like the Babylonians of ages old we too are willing to sacrifice of young to our idols of lust and moral relativism. We will reap what we sow...same as it ever was. Freedom at any cost leaves everyone a slave to their worst tendencies. Satan laughs at our rebelliousness for the easy trap it is.

This was an interesting read, I'm not contesting it, but I would love to know where you read it.

none of us here are going to defeat porn. stop it. a lot of the people on this forum can't even beat porn from their own life let alone someone else. porn is too big.
if some guy or girl wants to watch porn and jerk off then they will, this forum or reboot nation or the reddit page or gabe won't stop them and frankly you shouldn't, it's their right to watch porn and be stimulated by it, if you really want to do anything in terms of stopping someone from watching then just educate them, tell them about PIED, tell them about the symptoms that they may carry but are unaware of ( brain fog, less motivation ect) and tell them to know all they possible outcomes of porn sessions, if they still continue to watch and enjoy porn then that's their choice and right and we leave them to it, at least they now have education and know where to go if they change their mind.

it's that simple. cultist attitudes towards porn don't help, being militant doesn't help, in fact it's usually the most anti porn that can't seem to break the addiction.

I'm 100 percent against porn it has wrecked my marriage and I know the government is not going to make it illegal but they should make it harder for people to be able to look at it on the inter net yes you can educate your children about the dangers of it just like drinking doing drugs and having sex but kids are still doin those things even the best raised kids are doing stuff.if I wanted to buy a bottle of wine from a winery I have to fax my id but what I'm not understanding is why the porn industry is just allowed for anyone to put any random birthday in and any kid can go on the site why are they not held accountability like other Industries are

the government shouldn't do anything when it comes to porn or sex, don't willing allow the government into your bedroom. there's nothing you can do to make porn harder to get, the isp can go ahead and block all porn websites from demand of government but then you will get into a whole debate over freedom of speech and expression, something I am a huge supporter off. lets say for a minute that what I just described were to happen, firstly it would be incredibly difficult to section all porn websites on the internet but secondly lets go one step further and say that it did indeed happen and every porn website was now a permission's only access...we still have proxies, we still have the deep web where I'm sure many porn websites would move, and we would still have all those magazines in the store which kids almost always seem to get their hands on.

the point is this, if a person wan't to watch porn be it any age or gender, they will. most of you guys found porn at like 12 and younger

TRest assured, things are starting to happen. The UK recently did something to change this situation. Places in the US such as Utah have taken a step to end this issue. There are bills introduced in congress within the last week that labels porn as a health issue and not a freedom of speech issue. Therefore, it is up to our lawmakers to truly step forward. Lets see what happens, but at least there is movement.

A nice big fat warning label on porn and porn sites that says "Masturbation to pornography is known to lead to impotence" kind of like the cancer warning on cigarettes. Well we see how well it worked for smoking, but I wonder if it would make some people (at least the smart ones) might stop and think or at least look into it.
On a more cynical note, maybe it's not a bad thing if the lowest common denominator becomes impotent and can't breed. Sorry I know that's a jerk thing to say but I'm losing my faith in humanity these days.
