hello! Back again. Almost 2 years clean and free from porn, and when i go through any type of stress, I’m usually beset with bad porn dreams.

Had an awful one last night , and then a series of very visceral “flashbacks” tonight st work which have left me anxious and wired and freaked out. Good news? It’s been like four months since my last porn dream. They’re very clearly becoming less frequent

    Anyone else experience this?

Nothing to worry about, just dont act upon them and search for porn whatever you do. Almost two years myself and life is so much better away from porn.

Yeah, they come and go for me. I'm somewhere around a year and a half, maybe a bit more. I see it as a curse of not being able to truly unsee what we've seen. I can visualize stuff in my head way easier than I should given all the porn I've looked at in my life, so lots of triggers will bring things back. I've had them come back in little waves, but I'm sure that if there was any real way to measure such a thing, they'd still be diminishing over time. I don't think it'll come back in full force unless I comply with them.

Happened to me when I was really going deep into hypnotherapy. My opinion is the brain is having a hangover and is “throwing up.” Doesn’t feel as good coming out as it did going in. Part of the recovery process.

I have no experience with this, but was amazed in reading this and how the brain interlinks stress with pmo, thanks for sharing mate

Would you recommend hypnotherapy for sort of "throwing up" the stuff faster? My god I hate it when they happen.

I can't comment on hypnotherapy, but general talk therapy may or may not help. If the flashbacks are of a certain kind/theme, then there might be something letting them throw down such deep roots in your brain.
