Started taking cold showers first thing in the morning, did 2 of them. Both of them on lvl 2, tomorrow I'll up it at lvl 3. Experience that and then go fuckin saiyan lvl 4 ) *Next Morning* LE - Went straight to lvl 4 today!! I'll keep doing them this way from now on and I'll update my progress and experience in my journal. All I can say for now is that you truly do feel stronger after a cold shower.
Guys! On the coldest setting, my shower starts off cold then goes to lukewarm on its own! My only chance at a cold shower is the first two minutes or so. Any recommendations are welcomed however I have a wife who does not love cold showers.
It's not going lukewarm on its own. It's your body adjusting to the cold water. That is a good thing.
Yep, that's the crazy thing people who don't try this won't believe — the water actually feels like it warms up. It means the process is working
Yeah it's paradoxical. Really have to try it to believe it! I've finally convinced my best friend to start cold showers. Can't believe that I myself used to enjoy hot showers!
I started doing cold showers a few months ago, they're amazing. They're really good for hair and skin, plus that initial jump-in will make a man outta you.
My mind has just been blown. I've actually tried several times to turn the knob all the way cold and flirting with the point where the water shuts off to find the coldest setting! I should have realized that when I jump in a pool it's only cold for a few seconds, then becomes warm, and then becomes cold to get out that you want to stay in!
I found that this started happening when I switched to full cold from the start. To me, it is MUCH easier this way. Seems the intense cold shocks the body into generating heat. The ramping up method is less effective at this. It's not even a shock anymore. The first 3-5 seconds are cold, but the body just goes into warmup mode and I barely think of it as a "cold" shower after that.
I've been taking cold showers since May 18th this year and I love them. I haven't taken a warm or hot shower since. I dread the first few seconds of the cold showers. When I wake up. I procrastinate and then I get this sudden desire to just jump straight in, whole body. And after a few minutes or seconds my body then begins to adapt and warms up. I love these. It certainly spikes you up for the day early in the morning. The best non-caffeinated solution EVER!!
I start with warm shower and end up with freezing cold. I don't seem to last too long.. My muscles start to ache because of the coldness. Maybe I should eliminate the hot shower beforewards? Though I am able to endure the cold shower for longer periods now.
For me it started out of necessity, the heating in my building broke down, so there was not really much of a choice. Still stuck with it though : D I remember i had to yell a little when i did it the first few times, but now i'm fine with breathing deeply : P
Anyone know how I can make my shower colder ;D ;D I'm all the way to the bottom setting now... Just gonna try a cold bath now, I know they are a different beast,
Sometimes you just gotta leave it running for a while. Kind of like when you'd want a hot shower and you'd have to wait some time for the water temp to level out, the same thing happens for cold (at least for me). I usually turn the shower along with the bathroom sink faucet on as cold as it can go and it gets there much more quickly. Maybe try flushing the toilet too; I guess it's kind of a way of telling the plumbing in your house/apartment "hey! focus your attention over here!", it works for my shower and it gets cold as hell (oxymoron intended).
Definitely noticing a few improvements from these cold showers, now I am taking them seriously and part of a daily routine. Baring in mind that these could be a result of any other factor in my life such as sleep pattern, NOFAP, exercise and nutrition. But I seem to have noticed it more so since I have taken extra cold showers. - beard growth - thicker and different texture - fat loss around the chest and abdominal areas. These are my stubborn areas.
That's 3 months i've been doing this, even the freezing cold setting doesn't feel cold enough for me anymore, and I've used other showers that don't go as cold as mine and was disappointed, haha. Weird how quickly you can adjust to these things. I found the first week pretty difficult.
cold showers only have led to my skin being a bit oily. the good thing is that I don't need skin moisturizer. the bad thing is that I get a few pimples. I've never really had acne prone skin probably like 30 pimples my whole life and I've had like 7 over the last few weeks. normally I wouldn't worry too much but prolonged acne is denting my confidence a tad. a lot of people have recommended starting warm and ending cold. but I really want the masculine feeling of jumping in cold water. I think I'm gonna have to do cold warm cold. I think it'simportant to wash yourself properly with hot water because it opens the pores I guess. anyone else have similar experiences? acne with cold only showers or just oily skin with cold only showers? I was also thinking of experimenting with starting cold and thenturn it to hot to soap up and just coming out and follow the regular routine I had of moisturizer like I did when I was doing hot only showers. what do you guys think?
barely drink soda and I've been less stressed when acne popped up on my skin. I've quit smoking and ssmoking keeps your skin dry so may be that is why I have acne? I don't know. I've done too many things that don't keep my skin dry - quit pmo, quit cigarettes, and quit hot showers. I'm hoping that incorporating hot water in my routine again while I soap up will keep the acne off. otherwise I might have to start smoking and/or pmoing because I would rather not have acne. that shit fucking sucks the confidence out.
