Can we really quit internet without giving it up for a long period?

So when it comes to porn we must avoid it at all cause or be very vigilant in case we see nudity
An Alcoholic must avoid alcohol pretty much for the rest of his life
A drug addict must avoid drugs
at the same time they have to work on the roots of their addiction.

So how can we quit abusing the internet without spending months and months without using it? It seems unrealistic to me

I would happily go months and months without using it if I had a choice. I'm tired of everything, the free movies, and all that bullshit that just wastes time.

Thing is, I am attempting to run an eBay store and I have to have internet for school. I am using software to restrict me from movie sites, torrent sites, and porn sites, and a few more things.

But if I didn't need internet for my eBay and for my college, I would just sell my computer and use my iPad if I needed to search directions or something important like that.

Quitting it for long periods of time is the way to go.

I'm currently working on a system so that I won't be able to go on the internet on my computer. Since my computer needs a usb for the internet I'll just give it to my parents. If I need to watch shows or movies I'll use my parents computer or use my phone instead. I have no reason to spend 12 - 16 hours on a computer so that has to change

We have to learn to use the internet only for what is absolutely necessary or benefits you. Using the computer for 30 minutes a day or 10 hours a day is a big difference. Now all I have to do is listen to my own advice for once. :p

So I did 24 days without internet on my computer a few weeks back, but I never wrote the results. What happen is that I use the internet a lot less than before. Yes I did have some days where online all day long, but only days, not weeks. I also find that when I got the internet I went on it like I never left it, but after a week I start going a lot less. Nowadays I seems to only go for specific reasons.
