Well, first of all it's a derivative of vitamin B1, so not necessarily a drug. Second of all, I supplement a lot for different things in my life, including work-outs, daily protein intake, and vitamins in general. This is just another supplement to aid in a different area of life. As I've said in prior posts of mine, this will not cure an addiction. It may speed up the healing process with your brain receptors, which there is nothing wrong with. It still comes down to having the will-power to quit. There are also many other vitamins and supplements out there that help with libido, and there is nothing wrong in taking those. Putting a cast on a broken leg is not for the weak willed people and for the "person that needs to heal the most", but helps in returning that leg back to it's normal state faster (and better) than without a cast.

Do the research, try out different things, just don't relapse. That's all there is to it. If something helps heal your receptors faster, go for it, but the addiction will still linger if you don't quit PMO. I'm a technically minded person, and always look for better and more efficient ways to solve things. If something is going to aid in the recovery of PMO, I'm all for it.

i've been 4 days without masturbating. but for the past like 3 or 4 weeks ive been taking sulbuthiamine every day, low caffeine intake and no television. i've been waking up with full morning wood, when i dont masturbate that day i get random erections. my battle is not masturbating bc i think sulbuthiamine kina makes me hornier (or maybe the fact that i'm getting random boners now just makes me want to grab it). but yeah, im satisfies that if i went a full month with no masturbating my dick could do anything!

i think this stuff works by making your dopamine levels not get high enough so it helps resensitize your dopamine receptors back to their original state.

amixon, how much do you take every day and what brand did you buy. A url would be great. Plus do you take anything else.

How long did it take for it to kick in intitially? When did you notice your first random/morning erections? Some trial said it takes 30 days which isn't bad but the quicker the better!

ive got be honest i was intrigued and looked up Sulbutiamine. ive decided im not gonna try it. dont get my wrong im not knocking the stuff and this board is a great place where we can all learn from each other. for me this could be a quick fix but i want to get the bottom of why i wanted to watch porn and didnt kill it when i realised the real thing wasnt worth the hassle. i also need to know i can heal myself and grow from it. its been bloody tough and frustrating. maybe in a few months when i have kicked the habit i may look into it if i feel i need it. cialis is a rip. £40 for 4 tablets - yikes!

part of me thinks if it was so good why hasnt it been marketed and why havnt we heard of it. then another part of me thinks becasue the people who make money off of viagra etc are making millions and dont want it out. i think thats the danger. drug companys and doctors should have our best interest at heart and instead we self medicate due to distrust and ethics of money making 'professionals'

If you contact them they send some free samples which is what I've done and I'll see how it is. Hope this helps some of you guys out there.

Sulbutiamine isn't really listed as an ED drug anywhere, and is mostly used for its other properties. It's mentioned multiple places that it 'may' help with ED. I think it's safe to assume that because it reduces dopamine output, it will help our situation in the long run. That is if it actually does what they say it does. You'll see from the reviews on Amazon that nobody actually uses it for it's ED properties. This is not going to give you an instant hard on like Viagra, but should help your receptors to heal faster than normal.

I tried 600mg as the starting does with breakfast, at first I didn't feel anything however after an hour or so my mind felt stimulated and I felt as if I had more energy. I was able to cycle for longer and faster and did not feel tired through the whole day. I've been on it for about 4 days now and I definitely feel better (hornier and better erections) however I'm going to cycle on the stuff one week on one week off. However for me the results have been positive. Hope this helped.

To the people saying it reduces dopamine, I don't think that's the reason why it helps with ED. The whole point of recovery is to repair our dopamine receptors which are so desensitized from porn that we don't get off on real women/sex and have cravings looking at a computer screen. Sulbutiamine does exactly that. It's no different than taking medicine. Actually most people take this stuff so they can be more alert and focus so the ED aspect of it is really a great bonus.

The way I see it. Is that it reduces dopamine by alot (hopefully). This forces that receptors to be more and more sensitive because the brain says shit there is no dopamine I must make the receptors more sensitive. Then when you quit taking Sulbutiamine, your receptors will be more sensitive and the dopamine production uneffected. So now you will be getting bigger and better erections. Thats my take on it.

I am still waiting to get my scale before I use my supply, but I am sort of concerned about it lowering dopamine. Does that mean at first I'll be feeling even less excited about life? Seems like that would be the implication. So until the receptors come back, I'll be feeling even less motivated about life because activities will be triggering less dopamine. Or does this mean I'll stop being so excited by the internet/fast food, but still excited about the small stuff like exercising and chores?

Either way I'll find out soon..

I also wanted to ask amixon6, how are the cravings while taking sulbutiamine? Do you get porn rushes and thoughts while on the stuff?

I still do. I think it's just a part of the addiction.

I haven't had any loss of interest in anything. I had the same concerns though, but it actually seems to energize you and helps you to focus better. Yeah you probably aren't getting as much of a rush out of doing things that you normally do, but the dopamine is still being released... Just a smaller amount.

Well I'm biting the bullet and going to order. What do I have to lose? I've read a ton of positive feedback on the stuff and I've blown $40 in the past on many useless items. I need to stop this god damn addiction!

For people complaining about the taste you can buy it in capsules http://www.jgsupplements.com/products/sulbutiamine-caps-200mg-x-100.html it looks very intriguing I think I might have to order some.

I started my experiment tonight. I bought the bag of powder and i'm putting it in my own capsules. Didnt know I could get it in capsules, lulz on me.
Anyway I'm doing 300mg morning and night. Will post details weekly.

Also guys, check out this site: http://www.whatarenootropics.com/nootropic-list/sulbutiamine/
According to them, the effects last 5 hours. I'm not sure if the increase in dopamine receptors is something lasts.
Also, they say tolerance builds quickly.
I think I will be taking it every other day. We'll see if I get any effects from these first doses. I'll try to be as objective as possible to avoid placebo effects. (but ultimately thats impossible, I already have the expectation, my brain could do the rest. but then again my brain has resisted lots of other things in life that were supposed to make me feel good, so I might not be as 'suggestion-prone')

Took 300mg last night and this morning. No noticeable effect. Might start doing a dose of 600mg as apparently it can take a higher dose to get results.
