This rings true for me. It's the adolescent way of thinking (circa 13, the age i picked up pmo). Expecting a pat on the back every time you do something that has to be done (not just not pmo-ing, but doing the dishes and hanging up washing- oh the shame of doing "woman's work") makes us more resentful and less resilient. It's tied in with trying please people and being a nice guy.

A strange week. Heather has suddenly decided that she needs psychiatric help because she is oversexed. If so, so what ? I know I have a vested interest here. Asked me if I wanted to go "NO!" My sex life is fine( since I gave up PMO -- didnt mention that ) there are no norms or rules "do you feel you're oversexed so what ?Do you solve life's everyday problems with sex ?"No, ok so what's the problem ?"You make a good point hmmm I have to think about this she says !"Later that night we "BOINK :D" after" she says grinning "See ! "Good grief ---- beer a cold one !

This is not so subtle code for: do you love me the way I am? Your Heather needs to be validated, as we all do from time to time. Sounds like you solved it. :)

Good job with the boinking. :D

Dancing gig last Saturday nite. Heather looked really hot-( no panties and bra )--- had guys panting and drooling. Had her do the dancing with club patrons alone while I just watched at bar and drank beer. Big mistake---- when you are hired at club to perform a routine you are much safer doing it. At bar watching I became fair game for the predatory women watching and whats more I was, sad to say sorely tempted. I escaped with my virtue intact. I know better I have been doing this long enough. Heather was insanely " hot" after gig ( apparantly no panties and bra ) makes her crazy and fortunately she didnt notice my wandering eye. When you think you "made it" at least I have to be very careful the addict dosent own me. This time he didnt he will never, fuck him ! Anyway I got "boinked" into unconsciousness and a outrageous bj !":D:D:D:D

Turned down "punani "! Actually want a few more days of quiet and reflection. Ah! So nice, so soul healing, so reflective as I said, to just read and be quiet within self. Sometimes nap and peruse the thoughts that come into your mind and gently let them go.

Time for ourselves is so important. We are more than just a rod that pushes in and out. The rod is more than that too. :)

Haha, sometimes, it really does feel like the brain is in that rod and the rest of the body is incidental!

Dancing gig tonite. Took Heather and Jamie shopping last nite. Heather holding my hand, giggling, kissing my cheek and rubbing my back. Jamie holding my hand,,,, so very nice. I feel very relaxed after a few days alone. Heather really looks hot ! Time for "punani!"Hahaha!:D:D

Dancing gig was ok last nite. I am getting kind of bored with it maybe because it's so repetitive. Time for a dance contest. I seem to be bored somewhat with sex not that I dont want to get my rocks off but not as eager as I usually am. It's not Heather shes as exciting as she can be, totally hot. Think I may need more time off from sex and probably work. Anyway I am grateful for what I have and I remember the days of zero libido. It's still meandering but certainly much better than before. Asked Heather this am when we went out for breakfast if she and Jamie wanted to go for a 3 or 4 day holiday later this month. Jamie started to jump up and down, kids! ( won't have to go to school):p:rolleyes: Think she said yes !;)

I have been very cross the past few days and I do not understand the unwillingness of some members to do what is essential for safety and what will give them success gets me sometimes. Yes, I see it as unwillingness. There are plenty of success stories maybe not complete but certainly inspiring enough to lead one to think " I can do this, if one man can so can I !" However, that dosen't seem to appeal to some for some reason. I see the members of this 40 plus group as my brothers and it bothers me--- time to mind my business and get back on my path foward.

Ultimately we must tend to our own garden and reap what harvest we can. It is a solitary journey, Bobo, that's for sure. There are moments in people's lives when there is the old fork in the road. I think one of those roads is when we are in high school. Everyone is filled with energy and hope for the future. We don't foresee marital strife, paying bills, and doing a job we hate. At that moment we have a chance to choose differently than our parents, but few of us do, and if we do most of us end up succumbing to society, anyway. I think coming to this site is a fork in the road. We can keep on doing the same old shit, think the same old way, or we can take a chance that the other road, with its bumps, hills, and other obstacles, will offer better vistas. You've definitely done the latter. :)

@Bobo They (pills) have a place only because the medical profession pushes them.

Hey there Bobo. I agree with you. I heard a doctor tell how he would get upset calls from pharmaceutical companies because he wouldn't push statin medication on his patients.

I always like the statement"to a carpenter every problem looks like a nail". And far to often every ailment is in need of a chemical!
    Warm regards Sir
    Gotta get back to work
