24 y.o./ 3 years in, little to no progress

    Hi,
    its been exactly 3 years since i learned about my problem from this very website to which im grateful for its existence. In several sections below I will explain my situation and how i got nowhere near recovery although i followed all the rules for such a long period.

    Before PIED: Had successful sex for more than 3 years (age 18-21) all the time. Short refractory period, long lasting and hard erections. No problem whatsoever in getting erections. In average 3 days a week, 2-3 times on the day.

    Age 21: About 8 months of PMO, no intercourse in that period. Sometimes twice per day, in average once daily. Nothing hardcore, no gay/lesbian etc. But i did notice that in time the porn that used to turn me on stopped and i was searching for another ones. Novelty.

    Age 22: I met a beautiful girl im still with (im now 24), much more beautiful than those in the past, i had problems getting and keeping it up. I googled a lot, and found this site. Since then i have not M nor watched any kind of P, nor did i miss it. Of course, when i found out i have a problem, i went to have my blood checked, got checked by urologist, endocrinologist and several other docs. Results came back great, not one of them found anything wrong. Nor did i expect them to since i had read most of the articles here before i got checked.

    Age 22- age 24(now):
    So as I said, i had never M-ed since then nor watched any kind of P. In addition, i had a lot of cold showers ( i mean a lot) eating nutty food, did some meditation for a couple of months and i improved my fitness. I dont smoke, nor do i drink, im pretty fit and play sports 3-4 times a week at least. I had 2 hard modes - no PMO of at least 100 days each, and several (3-4) streaks of no PMO of 30-35 days. Other O-s in between have all been with my gf. I have talked to her about the problem, she said she didnt notice any problem and that thinks everything is normal. But its not and its obvious its not. During the hard modes i had about 7-8 wet dreams. And only 1-2 days in this 3 year period i have had a MW. I rembember in the past i had it everyday. I begin to think that the problem has become much more a post PIED anxiety problem than anything else, and starting to lose hope about getting cured at all. I have tried and still practice relaxation techniques to reduce the anxiety. Nowadays we have intercourse 1-2 times a week, and its not much different since the beginning of my PIED. It only gets better when we have it several days in a row. But as soon as the streak stops, it gets back to 'normal'.
    I desperately need an advice.. Suicidal thoughts, depression are constantly present. My memory has also declined a lot.

    I assume since i got no replies i must have missed the section to post this article. I apologize if thats the case.

    Anyways, had intercourse both y-day and today. Today erection was slightly better, only lasted for 1.5-2 mins though. I maxed the nutty food in my diet these 2 days, pistachio, peanuts and almond. A little bit less anxious today after the last session. I really believe now that the problem is more of anxiety sort of than anything else.

    Well most of my anxiety is generated by the PIED. I have never been anxious (at least nowhere near to this extent) in the past. Thanks for the reply though, i hope you are right about the first sentence.

    You might as well try ED meds, like Kamagra, see how that will go,maybe have some good sex,get some confidence back,buy some time and kill some anxiety.

    I havent tried any pills so far since the opinion about them on these forums is split. I was doing some kegels at a time, but then i read several posts indicating that could have a negative effect and stopped that as well.
    This time i will try to remain active on this page as much as i can. Had 2 o-s from bj y-day and woke up kinda with a MW. I try even not to touch myself nor to think of any kind of stimulation. I started working couple of months ago after finishing uni, so i cant really say that i havent been busy.

    Nothing new these 2 days. Had no O, mood slightly improved, avoiding eating sugar. I have tried doing some kegels in the past, but before I did them long enough to see if there is actually an effect, i read couple of posts here from people claiming they saw only deterioration from doing them and i stopped. Anyone to share their thoughts about kegels?

    I've slipped on kegels and haven't been doing them lately, but check out deathgrips profile he writes a lot on them. From what I know, reverse kegels are better because we rarely relax our pelvic floor ( which is why we have issues with PE). Whist a normal kegel is useful to achieve an erection, it can make PE worse because you are further tightening your pelvic floor muscle. Reverse kegels allows you to relax your pelvic floor and last longer. Things like squats are also meant to be very good for improving erection quality. I think a mix of more reverse than normal kegels is a good way to go. When I personally do them I try to get hard from MOing with a loose hand and not fantasising then doing the kegels. I have an app called stamena that times my reps but u could just use a stopwatch

    I really don't understand the science behind any of it, but I think kegels in moderation are good. Like any muscle, don't over do it

    Tnx for the replies Dylan. I will research and try reverse kegels.

    No O in the past 2 days as well. Whenever i reach 4-5 days with no O, i start having vivid dreams and ofc enter a further flatline. I think i need to get more sleep, the 6.5 hrs are not enough.

    for the past 3-4 days i had a total of 7-8 times intercourse, most of which erections were solid (except for the last one when i experienced a DE which lead to losing the erection, maybe for the first time (it was always PE before)). im trying to focus more on her rather than whether its gonna get and stay up or not. Still avoiding sweet food and drinking a lot of water. I can say that last few days did show a slight improvement. Mood changes a lot tbh

    total brain fog couple of days and mood swings all the time. Starting on a regular workout routine from tomorrow morning.
     
  13. Man, that's alot of of sex in a short amount of time. If your EQ was solid it shows you ARE improving. Keep with it, from one long rebooter to another, I'm pulling for you.

    Had another intercourse session today. Erection was good i can say, but PE was so much on as well (about 1 min i mean come on..) this was never the case in the past :/

  15. I'm about 30 months in and still not healed from PIED. Very much improved and sometimes feel back to normal. But I still keep hitting occasional flatlines. Frustrating even though they are becoming less and less. I really thought it would take a year or so when I started back in 2015. So I can definitely relate to your story.

    Most of what I've seen from success stories of guys with long reboots is that the third year was when things really start to accelerate, so you might be right around the corner from being done with all this.

    Y-day had 2 O-s with gf via intercourse, slightly better, both the duration and the strength. I can say that last few weeks erection have started to come easier than in the past couple of years. I mean, nothing close to getting up just by seeing sth or imagining, but still. Thing is as soon as i dont have O-s for a couple of days im back at the bottom of climbing this never ending mountain. Im with the same partner i was at the begining of all this.
    @we can do this 40 Im glad you are on the right road to recovery and actually feeling the difference! Hard work pays off, always in life, so dont give up!

    Intercourse y-day with solid E, but PE again. Im flatlining today. Mood slightly better these two weeks.

    My gf had a sleepover at myplace we had intercourse twice, erections seem to come easier than they did in the past, and the PE issue is slightly better but still obviously present. Been drinking a lot of water and increasing the sleeping time. I think on the long run, getting back to at least 8 hrs of sleep daily will be crucial for this PIED as well as many other issues. As i recall, last 5 years it was about 6 hours sleep maybe 7 which is too low.

    Had another intercourse session y-day, E was 90%, PE present. I had a MW again today. I increased my sleeping time and increase the water intake.
