    Hi fellow rebooters.

I wanted to share my victories. I also hope to encourage others. I am over two years clean from internet porn. I last PMOed on or about Oct 7, 2019. This was after many years, about 18 years, of trying to quit internet porn. I've tried many things. Here are some of the things that I think helped:
    • Reading and studying the Your Brain on Porn material and believing in it
    • Medication that reduces my sex drive
    • Prayer
    • Blocking for filtering on all my computers
    • Posting and reading here
    • A lot of willpower and mental effort to stay away from porn
    • Revisiting and healing trauma that occurred around puberty for me
    • Reading the A.A. literature and going to their meetings sometimes
    • Reminding myself that with porn I might start with naked people but I'd end with girls vomiting
Towards the end of my acting out, when I was acting out, I kept having the thought occur to me. "You know, if you keep consuming porn right now if you talk to any attractive (or hot) women in the next few days you are going to be embarrassed and tongue-tied and not know what to say to them." Believe it or not, this made me stop my acting out session and get off the computer.

Now, I haven't quit MO, though I've greatly reduced it, and I haven't rewired my brain to full functionality yet, although it's much, much clearer, but I still think it's worthwhile to make a post to encourage people.

Anyone can PM me if they want help or suggestions.

I am taking medication that reduces my sex drive, though not on purpose to reduce the sex drive. They were prescribed for other reasons and now reduce my sex drive.

What were some other symptoms you experienced? I'm 25 months and still struggling with mental withdrawals daily.

What do you mean? I only noticed my head clearer and that I was more able to think strategically.

Do you mean you're 25 months clean of P and still having mental difficulties, like concentration or attention span?
